Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snickett

AR Level 5.9 4pts.

When the Baudeaire children's parents pass away in a horendous fire, they are sent to live with Count Olaf,a mad man seeking the Baudeaire's fortune.

Fortunately,a sweet lady named Justice (that means she's a judge)Strauss lives next door with a giant library that holds a countless number of books. She helps the kids in so many ways throughout the story.

Each of the Baudeaire children has a very interesting talent. Violet,(the oldest at age 14)has a knack for inventing, and is known well for when her hair is tied back in a ribbon, her mind, like gears and levers clinking together, is at work. Klaus, (middle child), loves to read. Mention a topic, and books of information load his brain. Being the most informational, responsibility becomes a big thing for this boy. Sunny(youngest of all the Baudeaires), loves to bite, and the best out of self defense. You might think she is always being looked after, but she just might be the one doing the looking.

Count Olaf, always trying to steal the Baudeaire's fortune, finds a perfect plan to steal it. He plans to marry poor Violet Baudeaire during a stage performance. She is forced into this by Olaf and his theatre group in a way you cannot imagine!!!
